The New Orleans Children’s Chorus has over 30 years of experience nurturing the artistry of children while creating exciting opportunities for new singing experiences and lifelong friendships. Young people who sing high-quality music develop self-confidence, discipline, and social skills as well as musical knowledge. NOCC is nationally renowned for artistic excellence.

2023-24 Season

Rehearsals for our four choirs on Mondays are scheduled as follows:

• Songbirds (singers in kindergarten and 1st grade): 4:15 pm – 5 pm
• Lyric Chorus (singers in grades 2-5): 5:15 pm – 6:15 pm
• Concert Chorus (singers in grades 6 and up): 4:45 pm – 6:15 pm
• Chamber Ensemble (singers in grades 8 and up): 6:15 pm – 7:00 pm
  • Note that singers in the Chamber Ensemble are expected to also sing with the Concert Chorus. 

Rehearsals will begin on Monday, September 11 and go through the first weekend of May. Rehearsals will be every Monday at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5800 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, 70124. 

Tuition is $400 for the season for the first singer, and $250 for additional singers in the family. Experienced singers in grades 8 and up may join the Chamber Ensemble in addition to the Concert Chorus.  The Chamber Ensemble rehearses right after Concert Chorus, for an additional $115 for the season. Scholarships based on need are available.
